Pokémon Trainer Card

How the test works

Each of the 12 questions measures one of four axes: energy (E or I), perception (S or N), decisions (T or F) and style (J or P). Three questions per axis decide each letter, so there are no ties.

Your four letters give you one of 16 types. The card deals you 5 Pokémon of that type at random and 1 wild card from another type, so two people with the same type rarely get the same team.

Every one of the 1,025 Pokémon has a type, assigned by hand one evolution family at a time from how it behaves in the Pokédex and the games.

Questions

Which Pokémon am I?

Take the 12-question test above. It works out your four-letter personality type and deals you 5 Pokémon of that type plus 1 wild card from another type.

How does the Pokémon personality test work?

Each question measures one of four axes: energy (E/I), perception (S/N), decisions (T/F) and style (J/P). Three answers per axis decide each letter.

How were the Pokémon assigned to each type?

By hand, one evolution family at a time, from how each Pokémon behaves in the Pokédex and the games. Evolutions that change character, like Gyarados or the Eevee evolutions, get their own type.

Is this an official MBTI test?

No. It borrows the four letters of the Myers-Briggs types as a game, not as a psychological assessment, and it has no connection to the Myers-Briggs Company, Nintendo or The Pokémon Company.

Can I share or download my card?
